Conceptual Art.
It all begins with an idea.
A dream, a doodle, a sketch, a thought, a conversation, a request.
It doesn’t matter where the inspiration comes from - art begs to be created.
Conceptual art is artwork done centered around an idea - but is not polished / highly refined artwork. It is usually done more as a developed sketch to give or experiment with the visual language of an idea, or “concept”. These pieces were done for an online game that centers around a hybrid deer creature that is combined with features of horses/unicorns. The request included only basic word phrases, and I was to come up with a visualization.
These are not polished pieces - most were done within 30-40 minutes or so. Some took longer, but they are really all relatively quick sketches.
The prompts for these were:
beach
blessed
dreams
mother Earth
sun and moon
cherry blossom
heat and sand
